History of School

        St. Philomena Educational Institution is a religious minority Institution, found it primarily for the education of girls. The institution was started by the Sisters of Charity in the year 1945. It is the first Catholic School, registered body in Hassan district. It has been at the service of others without any distinction of caste and creed. It is situated in Holenarasipura road. It is a recognized institution by the Government of Karnataka and is managed by the Sisters of Charity Educational Society Mangalore. The Tiny Seed that planted has spread as a Mighty tree and comprises of both English and Kannada medium from LKG to 10 standards under the state syllabus.

        Girls who enter our campus not only feel secure but also feel confident to face the competent society. The total strength of the school is 2000. Educational endeavors spring from the charism of Charity that is to show forth the Redeeming love of the Father to the needy through the works of Mercy. The school has a reputation for its caring commitment to curricular and co- curricular achievements. Children are happy to work hard and succeed in most of their endeavors. Vivacious Management Committee, Experienced and well qualified teachers, good and improving facilities, supportive parent community and parent executive committee are vital factor to the quality of education we offer to their daughters. We train the young girls to be persons for others, to live with an attitude of service to the needy forming them to be the responsible citizens of country.
